Facing addiction

Facing Addiction is a movement that has brought together the leading experts and organizations in the addiction field and created a bold, overarching national platform that will support the more than 45 million Americans and their families directly impacted by this health crisis.

The Resource Hub

Facing Addiction has launched a comprehensive resource hub for anyone in search of support or guidance in the addiction conversation, fostering hope and building connections through one searchable resource.

This resource hub is the first-ever independent, not-for-profit, digital asset map that brings together a vast collection of addiction resources in one place.

For individuals and families needing information about any aspect of preventing, treating, or recovering from addiction—those in search of answers, and those who don’t yet know which questions to ask—this is the place to start.

Facing addiction in america: The surgeon general’s report on alcohol, drugs and health

Facing Addiction has recently partnered with the United States Surgeon General as the outreach partner for the Surgeon General’s Report on Alcohol, Drugs, and Health.

Released on November 17th, this is first-ever report on the science of substance use, treatment, and recovery.

It brings attention to addiction as a public health crisis and discusses a broad range of evidence-based interventions, programs, and policies to inform parents and families, communities, educators, health care professionals, public health practitioners, public policy makers, and researchers looking for effective solutions to the problems created by substance use, misuse, and disorders.
